During its event yesterday, Google announced the integration of Bard’s advanced and attractive artificial intelligence capabilities with the Google Assistant voice assistant.
Yesterday, during the Made by Google 2023 event, in addition to unveiling the Pixel 8 series, Google announced the integration of Google Bard artificial intelligence with its voice assistant. According to Google director Sissy Hsiao, the introduction of the company’s AI tool to Google Assistant represents an important step in increasing the personalization of Google’s voice assistant.

Through this new feature, users can benefit from Bard’s artificial intelligence capabilities in Google programs such as Gmail and Drive. After integrating with Bard, Google Voice Assistant offers a wide range of advanced features. For example, you can command to identify and highlight emails you received during the last week.
Users will also be able to use their voice assistant to create a post on the social network for specific purposes. During the Google event, the company showed how this integrated tool can simplify tasks. For example, Bard’s AI-equipped voice assistant can identify an event based on a Gmail invitation, calculate the approximate travel time using Google Maps, and even send a text message to accompany you to the event.
The Assistant with Bard feature combines the generative and conceptual capabilities of Bard with the functionality of Google’s voice assistant. This versatile tool provides the possibility of interaction through text, sound or image and is also able to perform various tasks for you.
This feature will be released for both Android and iOS platforms in the coming months. However, it should be noted that some features may be available exclusively for this operating system due to the deeper integration of Google Voice Assistant with Android apps and settings.
Google has also emphasized that this product is designed with user privacy in mind and provides users with personal settings to address security concerns.
As Google announced at its event yesterday, generative AI will play a prominent role in the company’s new products, from advanced photo editing features in the Google Pixel 8 Pro to improved voice calling in the Pixel Buds Pro.
