Beginning of the second chapter of the operation of repairing and organizing the area of Qiz Qala
According to the report of Aria Heritage, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Markazi Province, Reza Ayaz said today, May 15, 1401, that the access route to Qiz Qala is difficult for tourists to visit. “Pedestrians on the seasonal river, construction of access stairs to the site, closure of stairs, repair of previously damaged sections, repair of the building’s signboard have started since the beginning of May this year.”
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Saveh, noting that the first phase of the restoration of this historical monument was done last year, added: “Restoration operations are being carried out in the Qiz Qala area of Saveh with a credit of one billion rials.”
Ayaz considered Qiz Qala to be valuable and beautiful in terms of antiquity and grandeur, adding: “This stone castle has numerous halls, porches and porches that are considered as part of its architectural value.”
“According to the forecasts, the Qiz Qala monument will be ready for tourists to visit by the end of June this year,” the official said.
Ayaz added: “Saveh Qiz Castle is one of the amazing architectural works of Iran that dates back to pre-Islamic and Sassanid eras. “This huge complex has an area of 3,000 square meters, which includes two sections: the fortress and the palace.”
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Saveh city said: “This valuable building has been registered in the list of national monuments with the number 8600 on 2/9/1382.”
