Beijing: We continue to promote the normalization of relations between Tehran and Riyadh


According to the report of Fars International News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced on Saturday that Beijing intends to continue normalizing relations between Tehran and Riyadh.

According to a statement published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the removal of differences between Iran and Saudi Arabia will have a positive effect on the liberation of the countries of the region from foreign interference.

“Chinese authorities will continue to help normalize relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia,” the statement said.

The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China emphasized: “China expects Saudi Arabia and Iran to strengthen the dialogue.” The People’s Republic of China is ready to provide positive and constructive assistance in this regard.

Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, started intensive negotiations with his Saudi counterpart on Monday, March 15, in Beijing in order to follow up on the agreements of the President’s visit.

In this statement, Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the reopening of embassies in the next few months, and pointed to the mediation of Oman, which has good relations with both sides, in this direction.
