Charso Press: According to Variety, Ben Stiller will play 3 roles in the series “Three Identical Strangers”.
The miniseries “Three Identical Strangers” is in the final stages of negotiations with Ben Stiller to take advantage of his presence for these three roles.
Amy Lipman is the writer and producer of this series for Sony Pictures Television, which, like the documentary that was made about it, focuses on the true story of Bobby Shafran, David Coleman and Eddie Galad. These were 3 identical brothers who were separated at birth and reunited later in life. Stiller is going to play the role of all three brothers.
Playing this role will be a rare appearance of Stiller on television and one of his first major performances in recent years. He has made cameo appearances in several films, including ‘Hobby Halloween’, ‘Brothers’ and ‘Quarantine’ in 2021. He last acted in the movie “Stories of Mirovits” in 2017.
Stiller has acted in films such as “Zoolander”, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and several “Night at the Museum” and “Meeting the Family” and received an Emmy Award in 1993 for “The Ben Stiller Show”.
He is mostly active as a producer and director, which includes producing and directing the Emmy-winning show “Escape to Danmora” on Showtime and “Separation” on Apple. Stiller has earned directing Emmy nominations for both shows. He has directed several movies including “Zoolander” and “Asian Thunder”.
The documentary “Three Identical Strangers” was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and won the special jury award for the documentary. The documentary shows how Shafran discovered that he had a twin brother who was separated at birth, and eventually managed to find out that there was a third brother at work.
