Berghan village, a model of sustainable tourism development and the closest destination for tourists in the capital

Today, in contrast to the approach of mass tourism that brings adverse social, economic and environmental effects, there are alternative approaches that are more sustainable. In the sense that they consider social, economic and environmental considerations. These approaches include community-oriented tourism, sustainable, creative tourism and smart tourism. Therefore, one of these approaches that is compatible with the conditions of rural areas and can be a real manifestation of the concept of rural tourism is this type of community-oriented tourism. In this type of tourism, society, people and local institutions play an effective role in planning and managing tourism and benefit from its benefits.
On the southern slopes of Alborz mountain, there is a green and unique village called Berghan, which is a wonderful destination for one-day trips and picnics for residents of the capital and Alborz province. This village has attracted the attention of many tourists in recent years due to the presence of unique attractions such as green gardens and fields, fruit trees, rivers full of water and historical monuments. Berghan village, famous for the thousand-year-old plane trees and plum land, is one of those destinations that you must visit at least once.
Berghan village has a longer history than Karaj (the capital of Alborz province) and the market and some of its old houses date back to the Qajar period. In this village, which is known as “the cradle of thousand-year-old plane trees”, there are old and spectacular trees that show us that Berghan is a village from the distant past. This village has three tangible historical monuments, which include Hosseinieh Azam Berghan, Safaviyeh Bridge and Sycamore Tree inside Jame Mosque. Alvi Berghan with world fame, Bestani Goleh and Taizia Berghan are three other works that have been registered in the list of national intangible works.
Therefore, it seems that due to the timing of Nowruz trips this year with the holy month of Ramadan and the reduction of out-of-town trips, this village can be a place for recreation and a half-day excursion for many citizens of Tehran, Alborz and Qazvin provinces.
