Biden called Trump and Republicans pseudo-fascists

According to IRNA from the Wall Street Journal, Biden clarified: “It’s not just about Trump; Rather, it is the whole philosophy that underlies it. In my opinion, this is semi-fascism.
He added, Americans are increasingly worried about whether American democracy can continue after the attempted uprising of supporters of the former president in the US Congress building on January 6, 2021.
“Did you think two years ago, five years ago, 10 years ago that we would even be talking about preserving democracy in the United States of America?” Biden stated.
The criticism was one of the harshest criticisms of the current president in the midterm elections, as Democrats fight to retain their slim majority in Congress.
In recent weeks, Biden has increasingly tried to frame the upcoming election as a referendum on Republican loyalty to Trump.
He used the former president’s acronym for Make America Great Again (MAGA) as a pejorative and described Republican economic policies as “extreme, as most MAGA things are.”
Biden said that the forces of “Ultra Maga” “have been able to control the Republican Party. “I never expected this to happen.”
The majority of House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump after January 6, 2021, either retired or lost primaries before the November midterm elections.
