Biden once again threatened to overthrow the North Korean government

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, US President “Joe Biden” once again threatened to overthrow the country’s government if North Korea uses nuclear weapons.
Biden made these comments at a joint news conference at the White House with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Wednesday.
The president of South Korea claimed that peace with North Korea will be achieved through strength. He said the response to any nuclear attack by North Korea would include US nuclear weapons.
A few hours earlier, the international media reported the agreement between Washington and Seoul to deploy American nuclear submarines in South Korea.
The media reported that this is part of a new agreement between the US and South Korea, according to which Washington has pledged to support Seoul against any nuclear threat from its northern neighbor, provided that Seoul does not develop nuclear weapons.
This is the first time since the 1980s that the US has deployed submarines equipped with ballistic missiles in North Korea.
South Korea’s emphasis on militarism
In a joint press conference at the White House, Yun said that he and Biden agreed that “we can achieve peace through force, and we must not achieve a false peace based on the goodwill of the other side.”
The South Korean president also claimed that he and Biden have agreed on the necessary steps to strengthen South Korea’s defense.
A few hours earlier, a senior official of the US government, who asked not to be named, told the NBC news website that the US’s goal of the new agreement with Seoul is to make Washington’s deterrence against the North Korean regime “more obvious.”
American media have written that this agreement, which is referred to as the “Washington Declaration”, is supposed to give South Korea a greater role as an ally of the United States in any response to a possible nuclear attack by North Korea.
American officials have claimed that Washington’s announcement does not oblige this country to deploy nuclear weapons in South Korea, but the United States will temporarily increase the number of nuclear equipment, including nuclear submarines and bombers, that it sends to Korea.
American officials see this agreement as similar to the cooperation between European allies during the Cold War era.
The President of South Korea said in a joint press conference at the White House: “The two countries agreed to hold bilateral consultations at the presidential level in the event of a nuclear attack by North Korea, and they have committed to immediately, strongly and decisively and using all the power of this coalition, from including responding to that attack with US nuclear weapons.
At the same time, some experts consider the new agreement between South Korea and America to be symbolic. Geoffrey Lewis, an expert on nuclear issues at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, told CBS that the agreement is “purely symbolic” and is intended to reassure South Korea of Washington’s support. He said that these commitments have no military value.
In the past few days, the results of polls have been published that claim that the people of South Korea support the government of their country to start producing nuclear weapons.
The New York Times newspaper says that the general belief in South Korea is that Washington will not be able to support Seoul due to its growing preoccupation with China in the event of a conflict between their country and North Korea, which is one of the countries that have nuclear weapons.
In this regard, an American official told NBC that the steps of the new agreement are designed to reassure the people of South Korea. He claims that the agreement also includes frameworks that give the Seoul-based government more freedom to respond to any crisis.
In this press conference, Biden once again threatened that any nuclear attack by North Korea will mark the end of this country’s government.
“Any nuclear attack by North Korea against the United States or its allies is unacceptable and will lead to the end of any regime that tries to do so,” he said.
North Korea is not committed to the NPT treaty and has produced about 20 nuclear weapons in recent years.
The United States and members of the United Nations Security Council have imposed several rounds of sanctions against North Korea since North Korea’s first nuclear test in 2006.
Despite these sanctions, North Korea has emphasized on strengthening its military capability to deal with the threat of the presence of American forces in the region.
North Korea says it will not withdraw its nuclear and missile programs until the United States ends its hostile policy to overthrow the ruling regime in Pyongyang.
