Bill Gates announced his new phone model; Samsung’s new folding version

Many people already know that Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, uses a Samsung foldable phone. The billionaire philanthropist revealed earlier this year that from Galaxy Z Fold 3 along with a portable PC, but now he’s upgraded his phone to a newer model of the Korean tech giant’s foldable phone.
In the new session “Ask Me Anything” Reddit, Bill Gates revealed that he is now using the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which was gifted to him by Samsung CEO Lee Jae-yong during his last visit to Korea. Basically, as one Reddit user points out, Bill Gates went straight to the Samsung boss to upgrade his phone.
As expected, Gates’ daily use of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 includes various Microsoft apps and Outlook (as a replacement for Gmail). Also, the fact that Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series phones can also be turned into a tablet eliminates Gates’ need for this device.
While some people may be excited by the fact that Bill Gates is using a Samsung-made smartphone instead of Microsoft’s Android phones (like the Surface Duo 2), it’s not that surprising. When Satya Nadella took over as Microsoft’s CEO in 2014, he shifted the company’s focus from hardware to software services that run on all popular operating systems, including Android.
Microsoft also has a partnership with Samsung whereby the Korean company’s smartphones already come with several different Microsoft apps. In recent years, we’ve also seen Microsoft offering free access to various Samsung devices, and we can expect the two tech giants to continue working together in the coming years.
