Bin Salman regional trip with a focus on Iran and strengthening cooperation with Arab countries


According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, Arab diplomatic sources reported that “Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman” of Saudi Arabia will pay an official visit to several Persian Gulf countries tomorrow, Sunday, with the aim of resolving geopolitical differences and strengthening cooperation with Arab countries.

An Arab source told the German News Agency: “One of the most important issues on the agenda of Bin Salman’s trip and his meeting with the leaders of the Arab Gulf states is serious and effective interaction with Iran’s nuclear and missile program and its consequences, achieving regional stability and security.” And internationally, emphasizing the principle of good neighborliness and respect for UN resolutions, distancing the region from all activities that destabilize it, and finding a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis based on the Cooperation Council initiative, National Dialogue Conference resolutions, resolution “Security Council No. 2216 is a Saudi plan.”

According to him, examining the developments in Iraq in the light of the results of the recent parliamentary elections, the situation in Syria and Libya and the developments in Palestine will be other topics in bin Salman’s talks with his Arab counterparts.

Another source said that resolving geopolitical differences, strengthening co-operation in various fields including security, defense, economy, trade, investment, energy and communications between the six GCC member states would be another focus of bin Salman’s talks with his Arab counterparts.

According to the newspaper “My vote todayThe sources also declined to comment on the possibility of considering Yemen’s membership in the Gulf Cooperation Council during bin Salman’s visit to the region, but an Arab diplomatic source said that it was not possible for Yemen to join the council due to ongoing communication. And the Houthis are close to Iran, and the member states of the council do not accept this.

According to the report, Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to start his five-day trip to Oman, after which he will travel to Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE and Kuwait.

During Ibn Salman’s visit to Oman, the first 800-kilometer land border crossing between the two countries, called the Al-Ruba Al-Khali crossing, is expected to be opened.

During his visit to other Arab countries, bin Salman will also discuss the importance of unifying positions on regional and international political issues, following the GCC’s self-reliance policy to deal with any fluctuations in international positions, and securing the council’s drawers.
