Blinken accused Russia of seizing Ukrainian territory

The US Secretary of State claimed on Monday that if Russia is allowed to bully Ukraine and occupy its territory without opposition, it will mean a green light for the whole world to adopt a similar approach.

The US Secretary of State made these statements at a press conference alongside South African Foreign Minister Naldi Pandor. His trip to South Africa is part of his visit to African countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.

Blinken said: “If we allow a big country to bully a smaller country, to simply invade it and take over its territory, then that approach will get a green light not only in Europe, but all over the world.”

Blinken also described China’s statements about ending cooperation with the US in the field of climate change after the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan Island as “punishment of the whole world, especially developing countries and Africa”.
