Blinken’s trip to the Middle East and Africa; Iran-Ukraine focus of talks



State Department spokesman Ned Price said Thursday local time that Blinken will travel to Israel, the West Bank, Morocco and Algeria March 26-30 to discuss with his partners a wide range of regional and global priorities, including Consult the Russian war against Ukraine, the destabilizing activities of Iran, the Ebrahimi agreement (Arab countries’ compromise with the Zionist regime) and the normalization of relations with Israel, Israeli-Palestinian relations, and maintaining the possibility of a Palestinian-Israeli solution.

A State Department spokesman said in a statement that Blinken’s visit to the region would begin in the occupied territories and that he would meet with Israeli officials, including his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid and Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

According to him, the US Secretary of State will also meet with Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, as well as representatives of Palestinian civil society.

Blinken will then meet with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Burita and Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebon.
