Bread, medicine and gasoline are not expensive

Ayatollah Seyyed Ibrahim Ra’isi, the President, stated in his fifth live TV interview with the people this Monday evening (May 7): “The issue of people’s lives is the main issue and concern of the government since the formation of the 13th government.” Unfortunately, we had 700 deaths in the country every day, but thank God, we have reached 7 deaths today.

He added: “Through diplomacy and currency allocation, we were able to import vaccines into the country, and now the conditions of society have reached a point where we no longer have vacations in education, guilds and markets, and today the country has reached a point where self-sufficiency in production is independent of vaccines.” The vaccine has arrived.

In another part of his speech, the President said: “In the first days of the government, we were worried about the reserves of basic goods and foreign exchange reserves, but today this concern has been resolved; Today, I assure the people that we do not have a problem with the stocks of basic goods, and that the government has done everything possible to ensure that there is no problem with the livelihood of the people.

“We accepted the government with conditions that we had problems in paying salaries in August, but we were able to solve these problems, and also no borrowing from the central bank has taken place,” Reisi said.

In another part of his speech, he stated: Bread, medicine and gasoline will not become more expensive.

“Last year we had a lot of financial problems, but the salaries of government employees were paid without delay,” said Raisi, noting that constructive measures have been taken in the 13th government.

Referring to the country’s foreign exchange reserves, the President stressed: “With the coming to power of the 13th government, oil sales have doubled and there is no longer any concern about oil sales, and the increase in foreign trade, which today reaches 100 billion dollars.” That figure is quite different from before.

He continued: “In relation to neighboring countries and countries with which we believe, interaction in the field of trade and our cooperation in economic development should be effective, that this has begun and we are at the beginning of the road.”

“One of the most important challenges for the government was the budget deficit,” Reisi added. 450,000 billion tomans is facing the government budget deficit, but without borrowing from the central bank or creating money, this deficit was compensated by earning the revenues that the government could have had, and the year 1400, despite initially stating What will the government do with the budget deficit? We were able to make up for this budget deficit with tact.

He continued: “It was said that the 40% inflation that exists today will reach 60% by the end of 1400, but the inflation went down to 36%, and these were the concerns that existed at the beginning of the government.”

“One of the serious issues facing the country is the issue of preferred currency,” he said. “Economists have always warned the government about this issue, saying that it is one of the country’s problems that needs to be addressed.”
