Breaking the country’s gas consumption record this year with 585 million cubic meters in one day


According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, with the beginning of the cold months of the year in Iran, gas consumption in the domestic and commercial sector has increased since the beginning of December and is setting new records daily.

According to the report of Iran’s National Gas Company, the consumption of gas in the domestic and commercial sector from December 1 to December 14 is shown in the table below.

According to the table, domestic-commercial gas consumption has increased by 34% in the last two weeks, equivalent to 148 million cubic meters per day, and it is predicted that as the weather gets colder, the gas consumption record will exceed the number of 585 million cubic meters.

Last year, domestic gas consumption on 3rd of Bahman broke all records by recording 692 million cubic meters, and now we have to see what will happen this year.

With the weather getting colder in some provinces of the country, the National Gas Company has advised the people of Iran to keep the temperature at home between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius and try to use gas optimally.

With the increase in household gas consumption, the news of the government’s restrictions on the supply of petrochemical gas has been announced. According to calculations, the feed restriction for gas petrochemicals last year cost about one billion dollars to the country.
