Britain imposed sanctions against Russia and Iran


According to the report of Fars News Agency, the British government announced new sanctions against Britain and Iran in a statement on Friday.

According to TASS news agency, England has added 92 Russian individuals and institutions, including individuals and institutions related to the “Rosatom” company, to its sanctions list.

In this statement, it is stated that in addition to the directors of Rus Atom Company, the directors of two large Russian defense companies, four banks and a number of Russian elites who have deep connections with the Russian industrial-military complexes have also been sanctioned.

Britain has also imposed sanctions on four Russian financial institutions, including Russia’s MTS Bank.

Explaining the sanctions against Russian financial institutions, London said it would isolate Russia from the international financial system and help Britain and its partners prevent Russia from circumventing the sanctions.

In the list of new British sanctions, the names of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Minister of Communications and Digital Development and Mass Media Maksut Shadiyev, as well as senior officials of Gazprom, Aeroflot and former Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov can be seen.

In the continuation of this report, the UK has imposed sanctions against six Russian companies that produce machinery and industrial equipment that provide services to the Russian armed forces. Also, in the updated version of the sanctions, two nuclear centers in Sarov and “Senzhinsk” are also seen. In addition, the management of Iran’s Quds Aviation Industry Company, which, according to the British, is believed to be supplying drones for the Russian army, has also been added to the sanctions list of this country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also imposed sanctions against individuals and institutions in the European Union and England in a statement on March 2.
