Britain provided “Brimstone 2” missiles to Ukraine

According to IRNA, the Daily Telegraph newspaper wrote on Monday night that the British Air Force gave Brimstone 2 missiles to Ukraine to use them against Russia.
According to this report, this missile, which was provided to Ukraine by Western allies along with a shipment of other anti-tank weapons, has had a significant impact in confronting Russia in recent months.
Brimstone 2 point-to-point missiles cost around £175,000 each and were first delivered to the British Air Force in 2005. These missiles were updated in 2008 and its upgraded version, Brimstone 2, was given to the British Air Force in 2016.
Brimstone 2 is an air-to-ground missile whose warhead weighs 6.3 kg.
The transfer of these weapons to Ukraine comes at a time when the English newspaper Sunday Times quoted Graeme Biggar, the head of the British National Crime Agency, as writing: “Weapons sent by the West to help Ukraine in the war with Russia may be sold to criminal gangs or terrorists in England.” .
This English official added: Western weapons are smuggled out of Ukraine from Ukraine. As with any conflict, when weapons flow in, there is a risk of them being smuggled out. At the end of every conflict, there are surplus weapons that end up in the hands of criminals or terrorists.
Western backers of Ukraine have acknowledged that they cannot track their weapons transfers once they enter Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said last month that weapons transferred out of Ukraine end up in the hands of terrorists, criminal gangs in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
