Broadcasting the operation of reviving the leopard from Documentary Network – Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, citing the public relations of the documentary network, the documentary series “Operation Panther” directed by Nima Asgari and produced by Fethullah Amiri, the new production of the documentary network, showing pristine footage of the Iranian tiger being brought to life, will be broadcast from Friday, January 2 at 10:00 p.m.
Fethullah Amiri said in this regard: This 13-part series is taken from Mohammad Sadegh Farhadinia’s PhD thesis. The topic of his thesis is “Ecology of the Iranian leopard in the northeast of Iran with a focus on Tandoora National Park”. Our documentation group started filming from the beginning of writing this thesis and we showed pristine and unseen images of the operation to bring the leopard alive.
This producer explained about the research of this documentary series: Mohammad Sadegh Farhadinia is one of the concerned people in the field of wildlife. Of course, I have had the experience of working with him before. In 2013, when I was making the documentary “In Search of the Iranian Panther”, he was in our team as a researcher.
Referring to the details of the video content of this documentary, Amiri added: In this collection, methods of capturing and trapping leopards have been documented and shown for the first time. I must mention that the director of this documentary series is Nima Asgari.
The producer of the documentary “Operation Leopard” said: “Until we know where the leopard goes, what it eats and what it does, we cannot know it properly.” In fact, there is almost no scientific knowledge about the Iranian leopard, and most of our information is based on observations made by shepherds. This is despite the fact that when it is captured alive and put on a special and smart necklace that has satellite GPS, it is easy to find its territory, understand where it goes in different seasons and…
He continued: Of course, it should be noted that the operation of reviving is a complex and knowledge-based technique. For example, it is necessary to calculate how to use the trap so that the leopard does not get hurt, and after falling into the trap, the device sends signals so that the animal does not stay in the trap for too long and…
In the end, Amiri said about the production process of this series: At the same time as this thesis started, we also started filming our documentary. The production process of this series, like other wildlife documentaries, was very long and accompanied by many difficulties. Sometimes we stay in the place for nearly 20 days until a leopard is trapped and we can demonstrate the process of bringing him back to life.
Sogol Moradi was in charge of compiling this collection, and Mohammad Sadeq Farhadinia can be mentioned among its other contributors. This series is broadcasted on Fridays at 10:00 PM on Documentary Network and will be repeated the next day at 12:30 PM.
