He clarified: These cars entered our country after the legal procedures, but due to the expiration of the customs deadline, these cars should be taken out of the country, but we are witnessing violations in this area.
The secretary of the Planning, Coordination and Supervision Commission for Combating Goods and Currency Smuggling of Ardabil Province said: In addition to the illegal traffic of some of these cars, we have received reports that more than the legally defined deadline these cars are traveling on the roads and transportation axes of the province. Sometimes, when a tragic driving accident occurs, we witness its negative and irreparable consequences.
Mojtahedinia added: It is necessary to intensify surveillance through the police, customs, inspection and other institutions regarding the entry and exit of these vehicles within the set legal deadline and to prevent possible violations with deterrent measures.
In another part of his speech, he pointed out: In the customs law, temporary traffic permits and licenses are issued for “temporary entry” vehicles, and it is necessary to obtain a guarantee for passenger cars with Iranian and non-Iranian passengers, and this is equivalent to three times the determined value. will be
Mojtahedinia reminded the prohibition of giving away and buying and selling these cars and added: Anyone who does this is subject to cases of smuggling and will definitely be dealt with according to the law.
He stated: During the stipulated period, these cars can be driven by the car owner, and no one else can drive these cars except the car owner, who has been issued a license through the customs formalities.
Mojtahedinia continued his speech and stated: Accepting the request, performing customs formalities and issuing the permit, and even following up on the extension of the temporary entry permit issued in the name and by the lawyer of the goods owner, are not acceptable in this area.
He clarified: After the deadline set in the temporary transit permit of these cars, the owners must take action to leave the country and the custodian institutions, especially the customs, will closely monitor this process.
Mojtahedinia said: A report on the violations of “temporary transit vehicles” has been submitted to the Secretariat of the Commission for Combating Goods and Currency Smuggling, and we are doing the necessary follow-up to minimize the violations in this area.
