Canada’s new sanctions against Iran – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik news agency, the Canadian government, continuing its hostile stance against Tehran, announced today that it has imposed sanctions against 4 Iranian individuals and 2 entities.

In the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, it is stated that the restrictions applied today are the fourth round of this country’s sanctions against Tehran.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, the educational center of Al-Mustafa Al-Alamiya University and the police force of the Islamic Republic of Iran are 2 institutions that have been sanctioned.

Also, Hossein Rahimi, Ahmed Fazelian, Asadullah Jafari and Seyed Morteza Mousavi are among the sanctioned people.

Earlier, this country announced that it has sanctioned 10 Iranian individuals and organizations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada published a statement in this connection and said: 6 individuals and 4 institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been placed on the sanctions list due to human rights violations.

The names of the organizations and individuals that were included in Canada’s sanctions list were announced as follows: Fars News Agency, Guardian Council, Council of Leadership Experts, Expediency Assessment Council, Heshmatullah Falahatpisheh, Mohammad Karmi, Soghari Khodadai, Ezzatullah Zarghami, Seyed Majid Mirahmadi and Abbas Ali Kodkhodaei.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also announced some time ago, according to the approvals of the relevant authorities, within the framework of related legal rules and related sanctions mechanisms, and as a countermeasure, a number of British institutions and individuals for their deliberate actions in supporting terrorism and groups It sanctions terrorism, promotion and incitement to terrorism, violence and hatred and violation of human rights.
