The Cannes Film Festival began with the release of “The Last Cut” by French director Michel Azanavis, best known for making the Oscar-winning film “The Artist.” “The Last Cut” is a French-language version and remake of the Japanese film “One Cut Of The Dead” made by Shinichiro Oeda in 2017, starring Bernice Beju, Finnigan Oldfield, and Jean Pascal Zadi. , “Liz Salem” and “Luana Bajrami” have played roles.

Forrest Whitaker also received the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or from Pierre Lescour, President of the Cannes Film Festival, as the special guest of the opening ceremony.

The world’s largest film festival will run from May 17 to 28.
