Which company will Canon cooperate with?

In this report, it is not mentioned which of the production companies Canon is negotiating with; However, companies such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo or OnePlus cannot cooperate with the Japanese giant; Because they have already signed similar contracts with Leica, Zeiss and Hasselblad. Therefore, Apple, Samsung, Google, Honor, Huawei, Motorola and even Realme can be mentioned as possible candidates.

Of course, the cooperation of Apple and Samsung with Canon seems unlikely. Also, Sony cannot cooperate with this company; Because this company itself is a camera manufacturer and Canon is one of its competitors.

It should also be noted that most collaborations between smartphone makers and camera brands have focused on imaging algorithms and software rather than the sensors themselves. For example, in the case of OnePlus and Hasselblad’s collaboration, the Swedish camera maker is said to help color calibrate the photos taken by the company’s phones to have more natural and accurate colors. Therefore, any company negotiating with Canon does not necessarily mean that its phones will be equipped with Canon sensors.
