Car electrification is the solution to the traffic and fuel problem / 20% of European cars are electric

Statistics show that about 20 percent of cars sold in the EU during the third quarter of this year were electric.

In general, we are witnessing a continuing decline in sales of gasoline and diesel vehicles in the EU.

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association, which includes many major European car and truck companies, said that in the third quarter of this year, electric battery and hybrid electric vehicles accounted for 19% of total car sales in Europe.

Sales of electric battery-powered vehicles rose 57 percent to 212,000 units, and sales of electric hybrid vehicles rose 43 percent to 197,000 units, the association said.

Of course, this increase was lower than last year, as sales of electric vehicles in the EU had almost tripled by 2020.

However, we have seen a 35% drop in gasoline vehicle sales and a 50% decline in diesel vehicle sales in Europe during the same period.

Only 18 percent of all cars sold in the EU in the third quarter of this year were diesel, up from 50 percent 10 years ago.
