According to the car import regulation, which was announced by the First Vice President after many struggles on September 3rd, the import of cars with a ceiling of $20,000 and preference for cars under $10,000 was allowed. On the other hand, the ceiling of foreign exchange resources for car imports is also considered to be a maximum of one billion dollars. Among the other import restrictions in the said regulation is that all imported cars will be offered on the commodity exchange, and the import of economic cars up to 10 thousand dollars will be subject to economic incentives if they are domestically produced. Another restriction on imports is the condition of the importers’ domestic manufacture, which of course must be approved by the Ministry of Security.
