Car import regulations specified?

According to Tejarat News, according to Article 4 of the Law on Organizing the Automotive Industry, which was announced by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Ministry of Silence should Car import regulations Set and approve.
According to IRNA, Car import regulations are being drafted and have not been finalized yet. Regulations in which the conditions and manner of importing the car, prices, engine volume, as well as duties set for import will be specified.
In this regard, Mehdi Dadfar, secretary of the Automobile Importers Association, said today: the instructions for importing cars have not been determined yet. However, no contact has been made with the members of this association so far and no opinion poll has been conducted.
Dadfar stated: According to Articles 2, 3 and 5 of the Business Facilitation Law, in compiling this instruction, the votes and opinions of the Automobile Importers Association, the Automobile Manufacturers Association, the Parts Manufacturers Association and also the Automobile Abortion Association should be taken into account.
The need to change the way the car is scrapped for import
The secretary of the Association of Car Importers believes that if there is no change in the number of scrapped cars per import of each car, imports will have no effect on reducing prices.
Mehdi Dadfar continued: “Also, in previous years, the Euro 6 pollution standard was imposed on imports.” Although cars based on the same standard were imported into the country for two years, but the result was connecting rods and technical defects in cars due to the lack of Euro 6 quality gasoline in the country.
“This was considered under the Clean Air Act, while cars with the Euro 6 standard mean up-to-date, high-end cars with high prices,” Dadfar said.
Rising global car prices
The automotive industry expert went on to point out the rising global prices of foreign cars, saying that this is mostly due to the lack of chipsets (electronic components) due to Corona, as well as the lack of raw materials needed.
Mehdi Dadfar stated: From 2012 until before the Corona pandemic, companies did not increase prices in their products much, but in the last two years, prices have been growing.
