According to the online economy report, quoted by Isna, the Council of Ministers, by amending the technical regulation in the field of pollution control and reduction, removed the requirement of imported cars with Euro 6 or Euro 5 EEV standard to comply with the European Day standard from the provisions of this regulation.
Amendment of Note 3, Article 4 of the technical regulations in the field of pollution control and reduction, which was presented to the Council of Ministers at the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade in order to remove the requirement for imported cars with Euro 6 or Euro 5 EEV standards to comply with the European Day standard, in the meeting It was approved on Wednesday last week (December 9), which was chaired by the country’s president.
Based on this resolution and considering the type of fuel distributed in fuel stations for passenger cars (Euro 4) and the time-consuming and expensive nature of supplying Euro (6) fuel in stations across the country, which causes unreasonable costs to customers and after-sales services. from sales without creating added value and also disrupting the process Car import Council of Ministers approved the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade regarding the amendment of the technical regulations in the field of pollution control and reduction.
This amendment was carried out this morning, and according to it, Note 3, Article 4 of the said regulation, which requires imported cars with Euro 6 or Euro 5 EEV standards to comply with the European day standard, has been removed from the provisions of this regulation.
Facilitating the import of cars
It should be noted: According to what the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade announced today (Sunday), in the meeting held on Wednesday of last week, the government delegation chaired by the President proposed to amend Article (4) of the technical regulation in the field of control. and the reduction of pollution (the subject of Article 2 of the Clean Air Law) has been approved.
The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade by presenting a proposal, considering the start of the executive process of importing passenger cars and requiring importers to comply with the Euro emission level that the process Car import had faced disruption, demanded the deletion of the note 3 of the article) of the resolution of March 1400 of the Council of Ministers.
In this proposal, it was stated: “Given the lack of supply of suitable Euro 6 fuel in stations across the country and the need for 15 billion dollars of investment to produce this fuel, in addition to the time-consuming implementation throughout the country, the import of cars with Euro 6 emission level is practically prohibited. It causes unreasonable costs to be imposed on the customer and after-sales services without creating added value, because the fuel distributed in the country’s gas stations is often at the Euro level; therefore, it is necessary to make the Euro 6 emission level mandatory after the provision of suitable fuel in the country. “
It is also mentioned that “Given that the Euro 6 standard is achieved in many imported passenger cars based on the direct fuel injection (GDI) system and the aromatic compounds in the fuel of many places in the country (which is actually at level 4), it causes harm It seriously affects the fuel injection system, therefore forcing this level of standard will only cause dissatisfaction among the customers of this group of cars due to the destruction of the fuel supply system.
The Ministry of Security has announced in another part of its proposal: “The results of tests conducted on the emission level of imported cars with Euro 6 standard and domestic fuel show that these cars will not even be able to receive the approval of Euro 5 requirements with domestic fuel consumption. , because actually the calibration of these cars is based on a specific range of fuel characteristics, which in case of non-compliance, the fuel will not even meet Euro 5 requirements.”
In the end, it is also suggested: “Due to the high level of sulfur in fuel in the country, the catalyst of the car is destroyed from the very beginning of its life and leads to the inefficiency of the product in the life cycle of the product. Therefore, the situation is worse from the point of view of pollution even compared to the current standards. The country is obtained.
It is repeated that the spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, referring to the acceleration of the process of importing cars into the country, announced the arrival of some models behind the border and the beginning of advertising for them.
