Car market speculators profit more than Toyota

According to Tejarat News, the head of the stock exchange organization said at the opening ceremony of copper futures trading: “One of the important issues we are consulting is related to the supply of cars, which is not subject to mandatory pricing. We are fully prepared to complete this issue.”
Given the current situation in the car market, some financial market experts believe that the zero car lottery and profits of 100 million Tomans for dealers are the main problems of the car market in the past few months.
Payam Eliaskordi, a financial markets expert, told Tejarat News about the problems in the car market and explained: “There are many problems in the car market and some of the solutions that are offered have no effect on the market.” We must seek to resolve the essence of the issue.
More speculators profit from Toyota factory
Eliaskordi said about the car market in foreign countries: for example, the new Toyota Corolla (whose 2017 models are also available in the Iranian market) is sold at a price of 690 thousand dollars.
He explained: Assuming a ceiling of 10% profit of Toyota factory from the sale of this car, 69 thousand dollars, equal to about 96 million tomans, is a profit for Toyota. This is while in Iran, buying a car from a factory and selling it in the open market will earn about 100 million tomans.
This financial market expert explained that the real consumer should participate in the lottery: non-luxury cars (less than 500 million Tomans) are sold in the market with a price difference of 100 million and more than the factory.
The percentage of car sales profit in some of the world’s leading car manufacturers is from 6 to 10 percent. This is while in the domestic car market, by buying a car from the factory and selling it in the open market, it has a profit of about 50%.
Car supply on the stock exchange
Elias Kurdi said about the issue of offering cars on the stock exchange: “Nowhere in the world is the car offered on the stock exchange.” The consumer must go to the factory and dealerships to buy a zero car.
He further said about the conditions of the car market in Iran: “Unfortunately, the car market has developed in such a way that buyers should look for zero cars in the market.” This has happened at a time when people all over the world have to go to the factory to buy a zero car.
This market expert considers this issue as one of the main factors in the difference between factory car prices and the open market.
He believes that given the current state of the car market, offering a car on the stock exchange can be beneficial. But based on previous experience, this issue, which was recently announced by the head of the stock exchange organization, will probably not be serious.
Zero car maintenance
Eliaskordi said: “This difference in prices and conditions in the car market has caused a number of dealers or even consumers to keep zero cars in parking lots, and this is a blow to the car market.”
This capital market expert considers the Consumer Protection Organization to be responsible for the entry of this institution into the quality of cars and the quality of services. He believes that the Consumer Protection Organization should have more control over the way car manufacturers serve consumers in order to solve some of the problems in the car market.
