Car production reaches one million units this year / Elimination of car sales lottery from next year

According to Fars News Agency, quoted by the Radio and Television Agency, Seyyed Alireza Fatemi Amin said today at the meeting of the Board of Representatives of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce: “One of the plans we are pursuing is to remove the dollar price from the economy.

He added: “Typically, in the field of cars, we import 30% of the parts, but the price of 40% of other car parts that are produced domestically is also tied to the dollar.”

The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade stated: We have started this process in steel for about two months, which means that the price of ingots, which is now 13,000 Tomans, should have been exchanged for 18,000 Tomans if it was still dependent on the dollar.

He said: “In this way, the prices of sheets, rebars and ingots are determined by the realities of Iran’s economy, and we will start this method for different products in the next one to two weeks.” Of course, for products that may have a deficit, we will compensate for this deficit in the form of consolidated offers.

Fatemi Amin added: We will have a 12-month supply of steel and petrochemicals in the next 2 weeks. If we start the 12-month supply, each contractor understands what the price of the goods will be in the next 2 months, and that means forecasting; We will also implement the discussion of eliminating the quotas created by rents with this action.

He added: “We do not have a technical and technological problem in the country and no one can claim that he can not do the job technically.”

The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade added: “It is better not to use the word export anymore and say international trade, which is a bigger word.”

Fatemi Amin added: “What’s wrong with having a business plan in other markets and developing it?” To this end, we need to build infrastructure, and one of these infrastructures is to increase the business advisor.

The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, stating that we should not have a foreign exchange commitment next year, said: “We were sanctioned and a major part of the country’s foreign exchange earnings was oil revenues, but foreign exchange consumption remained the same and the whole system collapsed and became complicated.” We hope that from the beginning of next summer, we will no longer have a foreign exchange commitment, we have enough foreign exchange income to meet the foreign exchange needs and solve the problems.

Fatemi Amin added: e-government and the sector related to industry, mining and trade will be organized by the end of the year. Thus, by the end of this year, we will have a roadmap for industry, mining and trade for all cities, in which we will specify what plans are needed. It has investment and how much employment we need.

The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade said: “Our task is to reach a point where economic actors have no worries other than marketing.” Next year we have to get to where we were in 1997, which means we have to go back to before the sanctions to have a 12% growth in industry and mining.

The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade also told reporters about the upcoming plans for the car market: “We plan to eliminate the issue of car lotteries next year.”

He added: “This year, with an increase of 100,000 units, car production will reach one million vehicles, while next year 1.6 million vehicles will be produced in the country, thus eliminating the issue of car lotteries, while automakers have problems.” There are many that we must help solve.
