Reza Bahmani is the CEO and co-founder of Carinotec. He is a hardware graduate and a senior expert in e-commerce. He has 18 years of experience in the field of information technology, and during this time, he has gained experience as a CEO or a member of the board of directors of organizations, institutions and banking groups. Along with his brother, Pedram Bahmani, he has founded a business called Karinotech, which is a multi-faceted platform that provides several services to users. In the interview we had with Reza Bahmani, we get to know Karinotech and the value it creates for its audience.
What services does Carinotec provide?
Carinotech is a platform that consists of different parts, a sales part Online education platform and holding online meetings. What are the coordinates of Karinotec team? Who were the core of the team?
There are currently 7 members of the team who are engaged in technical, digital marketing, financial and technical support fields. The core of the team was me, my brother, and my father. Our goal was to make it possible to hold various training courses online for all those interested in education, who can teach and receive training regardless of time and place. After the formation of the initial core, other friends joined us over time.
How did you enter the busy education market?
According to the experience I had from training and working in several start-up groups, we first entered the Iranian hosting companies market with the help of our colleague and business partner, and then started marketing by investing in digital marketing structures and virtual space. and currently we serve more than 18 thousand simultaneous users on our own platforms.
What competitors do you envision for your business?
There are few markets these days that are without competitors, the presence of competitors in the market is not such a bad thing by the way, when you know your competitor properly, you will find out what are the ways to reach your target market. Of course, this does not mean that whatever your competitor did and succeeded or failed, if you follow the same path, you will succeed.
What I mean is that the general routine of reaching and dealing with the target audience can be determined from the way the competitors operate, in this case the need for many trials and errors is eliminated and a lot of time and money are saved. It is certain that in order to overcome our competitors, we have created a series of competitive advantages for our business, the management panel is very easy and practical for users, the diversity of the platform, as well as the lower price compared to other colleagues and companies, are among these advantages.
Are foreign websites that provide a similar service to your competitors?
The famous site about holding webinars such as GoToWebinar, Webinars OnAir and WebinarJam and several sites in Especially education There are online ones such as Coursera, Udemy and Khan Academy, but unfortunately some of them have banned Iran and it is not possible to buy and use them.
What challenges does your business face?
Our most important challenge, considering the large volume of users, is the inappropriateness of the internet for the organizers and participants, because we have more than 60 gigs of bandwidth for our own servers, but the quality of the audience’s internet is not determined by us.
Have you attracted capital or is it in your plan?
So far, we have not attracted capital, but attracting capital is inevitable. It is a bit early to start looking for capital. We have to spend more energy to get a bigger share of the market and then proceed to attract capital in a more calculated manner.
What are your plans for development?
Soon we will unveil a new platform that is very similar to the Zoom software and is used for holding online meetings. In this platform, it will be possible for people in the meeting to activate many simultaneous cameras. In the next two months, we will unveil another platform and become the most complete platform provider for online training and meetings, as well as a webinar organizer.
Carinotech should become an international platform in the field of online education and holding webinars, and its participants and organizers should be from all over the world. A startup, as its name suggests, must put in a lot of effort and never give up and take risks, even if it leads to failure. Startup failure will be an experience for another start.
