Cartoon and Caricature Exhibition of Latin America; Public diplomacy is cultural
Romina Guadalupe Perez, the ambassador of Bolivia, said on the sidelines of the visit to the Latin American cartoon and caricature exhibition: artistic events like this exhibition strengthen the relations between Iran and Latin American countries. Basically, this exhibition is based on public cultural diplomacy, which is based on communication with Latin American communities.
He continued: The promotion and teaching of Persian language, the holding of film and serial festivals, and religious propaganda are among the contacts that have been made with the people of Latin America from the side of Iran.
Referring to the closeness of the revolution between Iran and Latin America, the ambassador of Bolivia in Iran pointed out: the existence of a relationship between Iran and Latin America in this context is interpreted as Iran is trying to act against some patterns that are in the minds of the world, just like Latin American countries. Care should be taken to find the common concept between these revolutions.
Perez added: Iran’s cultural activities in promoting religion in Latin American centers have been very special. Various Islamic centers and mosques have been established in Latin America, which attract many young people. Also, the cooperation between Iran and Latin America can be strengthened based on their civilization and ancient history.
The language of art is the language of important words
Venezuelan Ambassador Jose Rafael Silva Aponte said during his visit to this exhibition: “In this exhibition, we see the works of Venezuelan artists who clearly depict the violence of global arrogance.” We have a common enemy called global arrogance. Through important events like this exhibition, countries like Iran and Venezuela, which have fought global arrogance, can strengthen their cultural connections.
He added: The United States of America has supported the war between Israel and Gaza and made it bigger. Yesterday in the UN Security Council, the US voted against the ceasefire and supported the continuation of the war. They continue this genocide and support this crime.
The ambassador of Venezuela in Iran pointed out that the language of art is the language of important words of resistance and said: We see works from different countries of Latin America that we can understand their different languages at a glance and without conflict.
