Çavuşoğlu considered Amirabdollahian’s visit to Turkey important – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian to Turkey and the talks held between the two sides.
In this regard, Cavusoglu posted a picture of himself and his Iranian counterpart on Twitter and wrote that he hosted and welcomed Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian’s first visit to our country.
In the continuation of his message, he wrote: We discussed the preparations for the meeting of the Cooperation Council at the highest level.
Turkish Foreign Minister added: Our business is growing. We will form a joint economic commission soon. We will further develop regional cooperation.
Earlier, while announcing Ankara’s opposition to unilateral sanctions against Iran, he expressed hope that all parties would take appropriate steps to reactivate the nuclear deal.
Cavusoglu said in a joint press conference with Amir Abdollahian in Ankara that the two sides discussed all aspects of bilateral relations between Ankara and Tehran and how to improve coordination and cooperation in all fields.
He added: The presidents of the two countries have set a goal of reaching 30 billion dollars in trade volume between Tehran and Ankara. But this figure is now much less than this amount and we have to increase the volume of commercial exchange with more efforts and use all available mechanisms in a proper way.
Turkish Foreign Minister also emphasized the necessity of continuing cooperation with Iran in the fight against terrorism as a common enemy of all.
He also announced the consultation with his Iranian counterpart on regional issues including Ukraine and the situation in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen.
