CES 2022: Intel unveils twelfth generation laptop processors

At CES 2022, Intel unveiled the latest generation of laptop processors, the twelfth generation Alder Lake processors. The company claims that its new laptop processors are better and more powerful than the new generation processors of Apple and AMD.
Alder Lake family laptop processors
During the show, Intel introduced eight new laptop processors, the lowest of which is the 8-core Core i5 12450H processor and the highest of which is the 14-core Core i9 12900HK processor. All of these laptop processors are from the H series and are for powerful gaming laptops. The company has reportedly postponed the introduction of P and U series processors for ultrabooks.
Just like twelfth generation desktop processors, Alder Lake laptop processors have a hybrid architecture and use two types of cores. For example, the flagship 12900HK processor is equipped with 6 powerful cores and 8 optimized cores. This combination of cores creates a kind of balance between processing performance and battery consumption and heat generation. According to Intel, the i9 12900HK is faster than rival Apple M1 Max and Ryzen 5900X flagships.
Equipped with the latest technology
Intel has equipped its new laptop processor platform with the latest technologies. The platform supports DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi 6E technology as well as Thunderbolt 4 interface. Unfortunately, unlike the desktop platform, the laptop processor platform does not support the PCIe 5.0 interface. But the PCIe 4.0 interface is still fast enough for ordinary users and there is not much to worry about.
According to Intel, more than 100 laptop models have been equipped with the new generation of Alder Lake laptop processors and are under development. These 100 models are produced by various companies such as Acer, Asus, Dell, GIGABYTE, Lenovo and..
