The meeting of the director general of the performing arts center was held with the president and secretary of the board of directors of the private theaters of Iran.
Charso Press: According to the public relations of Iran’s private theaters association, Kazem Nazari, the general manager of the performing arts center, met and talked with Shahin Chegini, the president, and Daud Namour, the secretary of the board of directors of the private theaters of Iran.
At the beginning of the meeting, Shahin Chegini, the director of Ostad Mashayikhi’s theater, complained: “The field of drama and theater is going through a very strange situation, and unfortunately, the private sector has been faced with lack of kindness and neglect by the authorities and the closure of several theaters after more than a decade of activity.” Private and active theaters such as Tamashakhane Sepand, Shanu, Divar Chahar, etc. are among these cases.
He reminded: This path of theater closures is not only not stopped and addressed, but also ongoing and may affect other active private theaters as well.
Shahin Chegini, the head of Iran’s Private Theater Guild, said: This damage is very serious and cannot be easily overcome. If, according to its statistics, the performing arts center covered more than 86% of the theater performances in private theaters in 1401. A statistic that shows the success of this guild, because the generation, especially the young, who are facing difficulties to perform in public halls, can easily perform their works in private halls, and with this process of closing halls, this generation has difficulty performing. They will face greatness.
Chegini explained: After the closure of private theaters, we did not see any reaction from the performing arts center or any government body.
In addition, Daoud Namur, secretary of Iran’s private theater guild and manager of Nofel Loshato Mansion, said: The performing arts center can return the theater to its good times with the support and cooperation of Iran’s private theater guild, and in this regard, we want to increase the authority of the guild.
Namour emphasized: With the increase of the powers of the guild according to the legal statutes and approvals, from now on all problems related to private halls should be referred to the arbitration council of the guild for consideration, and in case of agreement and not receiving the issue, this council together with the performing arts center and the council The arbitration consisting of five members shall be resolved.
He clarified: In this way, two council members from Iran’s private theaters association, who are part of the board of directors, a lawyer, a representative of the theater house and a representative of the performing arts center will solve the problem.
The manager of Noufel Loshatu mansion emphasized: Reviewing the request for texts and reviewing the shows (conditional rejection or acceptance), announcing all the texts and shows that have been rejected or conditional to the guild to determine the reason for this are among other requests.
Referring to the need for the approval of private theaters by Iran’s Private Theater Association, Namor said: In order to issue a license to create a private theater, in addition to the approval of the Center for Performing Arts and the Ministry of Guidance, the approval of Iran’s Private Theater Association is also necessary because that new complex must meet all the criteria and Accept the rules of the guild. Also, all theater groups that have to renew their license once every four years or annually must have the approval of the guild.
In the continuation of this meeting, there was a discussion about fixing the shortcomings of the licensing system for shows and it was decided that special conditions should be considered for shows that have little time to present the text and review, and shows that already have a license can be shown without re-review and only with the existing film from obtain a renewal or reproduction license from the performing arts center; under the conditions that no changes have been made in the text of the mise-en-scène show and the actors and agents of the show.
Increasing allowances for drama groups was one of the other issues raised in this meeting, which was accompanied by the implicit approval of the Director General of the Performing Arts Center.
After all the issues and opinions were raised, Kazem Nazari confirmed and accepted all the issues and said: We are ready to cooperate with Iran’s private theaters because the private theaters and Bazowan Guild are the executive arms of the performing arts center.
He continued: Measures have been taken regarding the private salons that have unfortunately been closed, but it has not led to a place where these cases can be followed up and prevented faster with the presence of the guild.
Nazari said: Theater should be organized like cinema in order to improve the process of providing services.
Also, the general director of the performing arts center announced that private theaters can cooperate with economic enterprises with the approval of the government and the existing circular, and due to the cooperation of economic enterprises with the culture and art sector and theaters, these economic enterprises will include tax exemptions or tax discounts. became.
The General Director of Performing Arts also announced the allocation of loans for theaters and emphasized that this issue will be followed up.
