Chinese government tax line for virtual branches

According to a reporter of Fars News Agency’s International Economics Group, quoted by Reuters, Chinese provincial officials have warned the country’s virtual branches and celebrities that they must correct and report their tax irregularities by 2022. Recently, one of the most famous cyber activists in China was fined $ 210 million for tax evasion, and his virtual network accounts were closed by the Chinese government.

Huang Wei, ‌ alias Via, has been sentenced to pay $ 210 million in 2019 and 2020 for tax evasion and misconduct in 2019 and 2020 on social media.

Today, tax officials in the country’s wealthiest provinces told celebrities and cyber activists that they should review their tax situation, correct their violations, and then report them to the tax authorities.

The order states that these individuals must resolve their tax problems by the end of this year and report them to the tax authorities. This will make their fines lighter or they will be exempt from paying the fines.

Chinese provincial officials have warned that if cyber activists do not take the action seriously, they will be dealt with severely by the law.
