Chinese military criticizes India’s unrealistic demands

The Chinese military said on Monday that the Indian side should drop “unrealistic and unreasonable” demands, according to Fars News Agency’s International Group.

According to the website «سی‌جی‌تی‌اِنBeijing has made great efforts to reduce border tensions and has shown its sincerity in maintaining military ties between the two countries, Chinese Liberation Army spokesman Lang Shaohua said during talks between Chinese and Indian military officials on Sunday (Sunday). .

“Nevertheless, India continues to insist on its unrealistic and unreasonable demands, which have made negotiations more difficult,” the Chinese military official added.

Referring to China’s determination to protect its national sovereignty, Shaohua said India should respect the current state of hard-to-reach borders and abide by agreements reached between the two countries.

In the end, he expressed hope that the Indian side would cooperate with China with sincerity in order to maintain peace and stability in the border areas.

The thirteenth round of talks between China and India lasted more than eight hours on Sunday, with the two sides trying to resolve their differences. This round of talks was held in China’s Molu border area between senior Indian and Chinese military officials.

Earlier, the Indian Foreign Ministry fired a cannon at China and called on the country to work for peace in the Ladakh border region. Meanwhile, the Chinese Foreign Minister also met with his Indian counterpart at the Shanghai Summit in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to discuss efforts to resolve tensions in Ladakh.

Tensions between the Indian and Chinese militaries began on May 5 last year following fierce fighting in the Pangong Lake area, and both sides gradually increased their presence with the influx of tens of thousands of troops and heavy weapons. As a result, a series of military and diplomatic talks between the two sides in August completed the process of escalating tensions. Each side currently has about 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the border control line.

India and China, which fought a full-scale border war in 1962, have long blamed each other for trying to seize territory along their informal border, known as the Real Line of Control.
