“Chris Rock” refused to perform at the 2023 Oscars
American comedian Chris Rock announced that he has not accepted the Oscar Academy’s offer to host the 2023 ceremony.
Charso Press: During a stand-up performance in Arizona, “Chris Rock” claimed that he did not accept the Oscar Academy’s offer to be a presenter at the 95th edition of the film awards ceremony and compared the performance of the Oscar ceremony to returning to the scene of the crime.
It was five months ago that Will Smith went on stage during the 2022 Oscar ceremony due to the joke of American comedian Chris Rock with his wife’s appearance and slapped him to become one of the most embarrassing scenes in the history of the Oscars. Although “Smith” officially apologized for his behavior and resigned from the Academy, the Academy eventually banned him from participating in this event for 10 years.
ABC entertainment president Craig Erwich said in May that he was open to Chris Rock hosting the 2023 Oscars. This comedian has previously hosted the Oscar ceremony in 2005 and 2016.
“Ervich” also said: “My assessment of the Oscars was that it was a really successful year for the ceremony. Obviously, there was a lot of controversy that overshadowed a lot of the positives, but I was really happy with the show. “Even before that very unfortunate moment, it was a successful event and we had a great comeback.”
