“Cinema Paradiso” will be serialized
Famous Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore is making a television adaptation of his Oscar-winning film Cinema Paradiso.
Charso Press: Giuseppe Tornanore will write and direct a TV adaptation of the Oscar-winning film “Cinema Paradiso”.
This movie depicts the story of a child named Salvatore or Toto in three periods of his life in this movie. Toto, who loves cinema, goes to the Paradiso cinema near where he lives every day to watch movies. He starts a sweet friendship with Alfredo, who is the cameraman of Cinema Paradiso.
The project of this six-episode series is being developed by the prominent Italian producer “Marco Belardi” with the “Bamboo Production” company.
Belardi explained that the “Cinema Paradiso” series will be the same story as the movie, but in a broad form and with different narrative branches, and “Tornatore” is currently writing a test script and the filming of this series is scheduled to begin in 2023.
“Cinema Paradiso” is a comedy-drama film made in 1988, a film about love and cinema that won many awards, including the Oscar Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
Ennio Morricone, the great composer of world cinema, has created the soundtrack for this film, which is considered one of the most enduring works of film music history.
