Claims of the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army against Iran – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Jazeera, American Defense Minister Lloyd Austin said about the allegations regarding the sending of drones by Iran to Russia: I advise Iran not to support Russia.
Speaking about the White House’s claims regarding Iran’s military assistance to Russia, Austin said: “We do not advise Iran to do this, and we believe that this action is a bad idea.”
According to this report, Mark Milley, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army, also claimed that the idea of providing drones and other equipment to Russia by Iran is not a good idea.
US officials and media began claiming that Iranian drones were sold to Russia for use in the Ukraine war last week, and even CNN claimed that Russian officials visited Iran at least twice last month to visit Iran’s drones.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan claimed in a press conference on the eve of US President Joe Biden’s visit to West Asia that Washington has information that shows Iran is preparing to send at least a hundred drones to Russia and train them to use them. Some of them belong to the Russians, and some of these drones are capable of carrying weapons.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, while rejecting the recent baseless accusations of the American National Security Advisor against our country, regarding the sending of Iranian drones to Russia to be used in the war against Ukraine, made such claims at the same time as Biden’s visit. He called the occupied Palestinian territories in line with specific political goals and objectives.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country stated: The principled and clear position of the Islamic Republic in opposing the war and supporting the cessation of war is not based on a double standard, like the dual approach of some western countries.
