Closing Ceremony of Documentary Television Festival Yazdi: We have turned television into the home of documentarians

According to a Fars News Agency radio and television correspondent, the closing ceremony of the documentary television festival was held in the conference hall of the Radio and Television Organization.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Mohsen Yazdi, director of the Documentary Network and secretary of the Documentary Festival, said at the beginning of the ceremony: “This year has been better than previous years in terms of the quality of the documentaries.” Today, television is by far the first production center, and we work with good documentarians.
He added: “If the result of the festival is to turn television into the home of documentarians, we have fulfilled our duty.”
As much as we can be active in festivals, but watching documentaries has a different atmosphere and today the Iranian people welcome documentaries and it is better to have a good interaction between us and documentarians.
According to the report, in the continuation of the ceremony, which was performed by Mohammad Delavari, Hamid Shahabadi, the deputy director of Sima, said in a speech: “Documentary format is one of the most effective formats for producing works of art, and television has been the home of documentarians in recent years.” And it has been the most important base for publishing documentaries.
He added: “We are happy that the documentation capacity is being used properly in programming and we need to help make this space better than before.”
He continued: “In the production of documentaries, what we are looking for is to produce Iranian works with an indigenous perspective, Islamic thought, patriotic perspective, Iranian national desire, and to be reflected in the world that some of our documentaries have been prepared in this way.”
The deputy director of Sima added: “Honesty, truthfulness and closeness to the audience can be seen in many documentaries, and the point is that these works are believable for the audience.”
Shahabadi said: “It is important for us to find the right subject for these documentaries.” Documentary production is high in our country, and what can help us is this subject-finding, followed by research on documentation.
He continued: “Our documentaries are supposed to solve our problems, and in the documentation we went to the central issue, and this format of programming is the closest format to the central issue.” Each of your documentaries should also be able to open an issue in the mind of the audience.
Shahabadi said: “This area needs more attention and attention, and what we pay attention to in Sima is the publication of documentaries, and we must review our publishing space.” This festival is a great point for those who start their work, but it is a great responsibility for us.
In the next part of the ceremony, the Mazandaran music group, led by Mohammad Reza Ishaqi, who had performed some folklore pieces from the Capital series, performed pieces.
Also in the presence of Yazdi and Shahabadi, Saeed Rashtian, a veteran of documentary cinema, was honored.
Rashtian said in a speech of thanks: I said everything I wanted in the film that was shown and I am proud to be a member of the documentary community. A society that tries to portray problems without a name and a symbol.
He added: “It is the main issue to be seen in documentary cinema.” We all work to be seen and to communicate, and for documentary cinema it is the most serious field of television, and we must pay more attention to the support of production on being seen properly.
Following the ceremony, a documentary was broadcast in the presence of Martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes. In the next part of the ceremony, documentary veteran Morteza Shabani was honored.
In this regard, Yazdi said: “We persuaded Mr. Shabani to attend the ceremony, but they could not come because they were in Iraq.” He is a modest man and his wife has come to the ceremony to receive this award.

In the documentary section, an honorary diploma and a cash prize of one million Tomans were awarded to the third person in the documentary section, Razieh Abbasi, for the documentary “Report of a Fund”. Ehsan Rahimzadeh Hanachi, the second person in the documentary section, was awarded an honorary diploma and a cash prize of 2 million Tomans for his report “Bringing Bread Out of the Wind”. The statuette of the festival, an honorary diploma and a cash prize of 3 million Tomans were awarded to Seyedeh Sakineh Mirtaheri for her documentary “The Story of Hobra’s Oppression”.

According to this report, Mohammad Sadegh Esmaili, the producer of the documentary “Ador”, was awarded an honorary diploma and a cash prize of 20 million Tomans in the Best Popular Documentary section of the festival statue.
