Closure of all city, mountain and forest parks of the capital for 2 weeks


According to Moj news agency, Ali Mohammad Mokhtari, CEO of Tehran City Parks Organization, said: This closure does not include neighborhood parks, but we expect citizens to attend neighborhood parks by observing health protocols and social distancing.

He went on to say: According to the resolution of the National Corona Headquarters, all the forest parks including Loizan, Chitgar, Shahada of the Persian Gulf, Kohsar, and Yas Fatemi, which are considered trans-regional parks, were closed for 2 weeks.

The CEO of Tehran City Parks Organization continued: All regional parks including Aram, Velayat, Nahj al-Balagheh, Ab and Atash, Laleh and other recreational places in Tehran are closed for 2 weeks.

He asked the citizens to cooperate with the protection agents of the parks in this field as in the past, and these measures have been implemented and operational in order to protect the health of the citizens.

Mokhtari said: Citizens’ health is more important than any issue, and with a healthy body, you can touch the heart of nature, and with the good cooperation of the people, we hope to overcome these difficult corona conditions.

According to Mokhtari, all entrances to the parks of the capital have been blocked by security agents and citizens are prevented from entering, and information banners have also been installed at the entrances of the parks.

2 thousand and 289 urban and forest parks are located in 22 districts of the capital city, including Jovanmardan, Nahj al-Balagheh, Chitgar, Persian Gulf Martyrs, Yas Fatemi, Telo, Eram, Sarkheh Hesar and Velayat parks.
