Commemoration of Bajelijahormi at the closing ceremony of the 6th Iranian Cinema Research Award

According to Fars news agency, at the same time as the closing ceremony of the 6th Iranian Cinema Awards, the commemoration of Professor Ahmad Bajeri Jahormi, one of our country’s documentary filmmakers, will be held.

Dr. Ahmad Bajeri Jahormi is a documentary maker and a full professor at Sedavasima University, born in 1330 in Jahorm.

He studied BA in cinema and PhD in art research in the branches of dramatic arts. The tendency is cinema and television. Teaching, translating, authoring and researching in the field of cinema and television, being the secretary of the second research award of Iranian cinema of the year and… have been part of his activities.

Dr. Bajeri Jahormi is the first Iranian cinema professor who was honored by the art academy and his writings include 35 books in different fields of cinema and more than 125 specialized and scientific research articles.

Among his books are “Hybrid Documentary Film”, “Morphology and Typology of Documentary Film”, “Theories and Discourses of Documentary Cinema”, “Correlation of Science and Art in Documentary Cinema”, “Aesthetics and History of Film Editing” etc.

The books “Cognitive Psychology of Film Editing”, “The Correlation of Science and Art in Documentary Cinema” are the latest works of this professor.

Also, his documentary films have received 19 awards from domestic and foreign festivals.

The 6th Iranian Cinema Year Research Award will be held under the guidance of Qader Ashna.
