“Compassion Disease” did not need dialogue/my new animation is in nature, not in the city

Charso Press: Maral Alizadeh, the animator, explained about the story of the animation “Compassion Disease” which was shown on July 29, 1401 in the Plankton section of the Croatian Superton Festival: The focus of the animation “Compassion Disease” is about a little girl who, at the beginning of the story, has a beautiful look towards He has a world around him, but after getting to know and adventure in the outside world, the beauty that was imprinted in his mind gradually disappears and he finds a more realistic view of the world around him.

He said about the source of inspiration that led to the creation of the animation “Compassion Disease”: According to the request of the center for the intellectual development of children and adolescents, it was decided to use the center’s own books to make this animation, and faithful to the story of the book in question, To get inspiration and ideas, and for this reason, I decided to use the book “Compassion Disease” written by Tahereh Ibad, which I was very attracted to the name of this book, as the source of ideas.

Alizadeh added: Of course, I must state that the story of the animation has many differences with the interior space of the book, because the main story was far from my mental space, and that’s why I tried to make the space of the story more personal.

This animator discussed the technical structure of this animation as follows: It took about one year and eight months to make this animation, which means that in fact, about five months were spent on completing the script and almost 2 months were spent on choosing different ideas, and the rest of this year is still under construction. We were animation. The graphics of this animation are two-dimensional, but still, I tried to change the graphics of the film until the end of the story while maintaining the integrity of the animation, so I think this part was one of the most difficult challenges because I have never faced this phenomenon before. which I went through to make this animation. Also, the word disease has a negative charge and the word compassion has a positive charge, and since a beautiful contrast is created by putting these words together, I tried to show this paradox in the animation by using happy and screaming colors next to black. draw a picture

He explained the reason for the silence of the characters and the lack of dialogue between them as follows: This animation did not need dialogue because the main character does not have much verbal communication with the rest of the characters, and this also causes more audiences around the world to be attracted to this film.

The director of “Compassion Disease” said about the medium of broadcasting his work: Despite the simple and short story, I think that broadcasting this animation on TV is not very suitable because when the audience watches this movie at home on TV, they pay less attention to its content. and that’s why I prefer this movie to be shown in cinemas or on internet platforms.

In the end, Maral Alizadeh informed about his future work plans: I am currently making a new animation, which, unlike the animation “Compassion Disease” which depicts the urban environment, represents the natural environment and nature.
