Competing in Bardsir with the taste of bozqormeh

Fifty male and female participants from the age of 16 to 50 participated in this competition and competed closely with each other for the preparation of traditional foods of Kerman province, including beef, curd, eggplant and pen broth with oily water, semolina and yellow flakes.
The head of the Bardsir Technical and Vocational Center told IRNA on the sidelines of the program: “The emphasis of the Public Culture Council on promoting work culture and skills training and the community’s need to acquire skills was one of the reasons for holding this competition.”
Hossein Alamzadeh added: “Respecting the culinary arts and preparing the ground for participating in national skills competitions (which are held every year in the country) was another strong reason for this move.”
He explained: “National skills competitions are the basis for the selection of participants in international skills competitions, and these competitions are held every year between the member countries of the World Labor Organization.”
Alamzadeh said that next year’s world championships will be held in Shanghai, China.
The mayor of Bardsir also said: in promoting skill-building and entrepreneurship activities, this cooking competition was held with the participation of the municipality and the technical and professional center of Bardsir.
Vahid Khatibi added: “The widespread acceptance of this program by the citizens in a short period of time was interesting, which shows the necessity of addressing such issues.”
He explained: Bardsir Municipality has significantly developed its social and cultural activities in recent years with the support of the Islamic Council of the city and attaches great value to social vitality and promoting the interests and skills of the community.
The competition was judged by the national chef Seyed Abbas Masoudi, and in the end, Ms. Fatemeh Sotoudehnejad won the first place for cooking bozkormeh, Fahimeh Mostalizadeh won the second place for cooking curd and eggplant, and Mahdieh Najafizadeh won the third place for cooking curd and eggplant. Three participants were male and 47 participants were female. This program was held on Thursday in the flower hall of Bardsir city.
Bardsir is located 60 km west of the center of Kerman province.
