Competition Council’s important warning to car manufacturers about price changes

According to the online economy report, citing Tasnim, the text of the Competition Council’s new notice to car manufacturers states: “Many complaints received by the Competition Council indicate that there has been a violation of the prices announced by the Competition Council regarding passenger cars. It strongly warns against any change in factory door prices. Notification of the Competition Council is considered a violation, and in addition to the proceedings in the Competition Council, the issue will be pursued through judicial and supervisory authorities.
Also, according to the provisions of Article 7 of the Law on Organizing the Automobile Industry, all automobile companies are obliged to announce to the Competition Council the selling prices of their manufactured vehicles, including the price notified by the Competition Council, plus consumer costs separately, and according to Article 4 of the Executive Regulations of the Law The rights of car consumers to make their sales prices available to the public in the company’s database.
It is worth noting that in case of objection to the aforementioned legal duties, appropriate legal measures will be taken.
