Completing the steam unit of 8 combined cycle power plants / 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be saved annually


According to the economic reporter of Fars News Agency, based on the surveys of the electricity industry statistics, in 1401, 8 steam units of the country’s combined cycle power plants with a capacity of 1316 megawatts came into production.

Due to the fact that the electricity production of these power plants does not require new fuel and is supplied from the energy loss of gas units, in 1401, these power plants have saved 2.05 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

According to Fars report, the steam unit of Khorram Abad power plant, steam unit 1 and 3 of South Pars power plant, steam unit 3 of Urmia power plant, steam unit 2 of Sablan power plant, steam unit 2 of Ferdowsi power plant, steam unit 2 of Asaluyeh power plant each with a capacity of 160 MW and steam unit West Karun power plant with a capacity of 196 megawatts is among the power plants that have been put into operation within the framework of completing the steam unit of combined cycle power plants.
