Completion of the first phase of the renovation of the roof of Fars Customs Caravanserai

According to the Aria Heritage report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Fars Province, Seyyed Moayed Mohsennejad said on Tuesday, January 13, 1401: The first phase of the restoration, organization and repairs of the Zandiye complex in the customs caravanserai was completed by the contractor with a credit amounting to 700 billion Rials.

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Fars province added: Stylization and repairs behind the brick arches and cement lining of the east side roof, repairs and restoration of the brickwork of the upper part of the interior and exterior of the east side roof, repairs and restoration of brick walls in the required parts of the external wall. The eastern side was completed.

Mohsen Nejad clarified: The Shiraz customs caravanserai is one of the historical monuments of Shiraz, which is located in Darb Shahzad neighborhood and in the northeast half of Vakil Bazaar.
