According to the financial news report, citing the public relations and international affairs of the Insurance Research Institute, in order to benefit from the capabilities and scientific capacity of the parties, create synergy and expand scientific and developmental research to solve the problems and challenges of the insurance industry, train the human capital of researchers and technologists, and build capacity. and entrepreneurship, as well as in the direction of helping to create and develop technological businesses, during a meeting attended by Mohammad Mehdi Asgari, head of the Insurance Research Institute, Behrouz Dori, the head of the Faculty of Management and Accounting of Shahid Beheshti University, and the senior managers of the two groups, a joint cooperation agreement between the Insurance Research Institute and Faculty of Management and Accounting (specialized management services clinic) of Shahid Beheshti University was signed.
In this meeting, which was held on the morning of Saturday, June 20, 1402, hosted by the Insurance Research Institute, the head of the Insurance Research Institute, referring to the continuous interactions of the Insurance Research Institute with 12 countries, the first and most important joint program for the Insurance Research Institute and Shahid Beheshti University was to design a doctoral course in professional management. Business (DBA) in the field of insurance knew and noted; The initial program of this course has been prepared and presented, and after reflecting the new areas of insurance and takaful in it, it will enter the implementation phase.
While announcing the readiness of CEOs of insurance companies to participate in the doctorate course in professional insurance business management, the head of the Insurance Research Institute added that due to the existence of sanctions and the impossibility of communicating with some countries, the design and implementation of this course will be very valuable. He also expressed hope that the acceptance of applicants in this course will start from October this year.
Referring to the provision of all degrees in Shahid Beheshti University’s Faculty of Management and Accounting, Asgari requested the provision of an insurance doctorate course in this faculty and added that if this is achieved, the Insurance Research Institute will introduce students to complete the insurance doctorate course.
The head of the research institute considered the holding of international training courses in neighboring countries as one of the existing areas of joint cooperation between the insurance research institute and the management and accounting faculty of Shahid Beheshti University, and pointing to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the insurance industry of Iran and the insurance industry of Syria, he stated; Considering that the Insurance Research Institute has been mandated by the Central Insurance to train the insurance industry in Syria, and cooperation with Iraq, Afghanistan and Oman is also on the agenda, cooperation with Shahid Beheshti University and benefiting from the scientific ability of the professors of this university in the realization The aforementioned goals will be necessary.
Referring to the announcement of 42 priority research topics by the Insurance Research Institute this year, Asgari, the head of the Insurance Research Institute, announced the readiness of the Insurance Research Institute to carry out theses and doctoral dissertations in cooperation with Shahid Beheshti University and stated that the members of the Insurance Research Institute are ready to cooperate with the professors of the Faculty of Management. and accounting of Shahid Beheshti University as a consultant or second guide in the field of thesis and dissertation writing.
In addition to inviting academic staff members of Shahid Beheshti University to actively participate in international conferences of Insurance Research Institute in 1402, he requested to present joint articles of Insurance Research Institute and Management Clinic of Shahid Beheshti University in conferences abroad.
Asgari also pointed to the emphasis of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology on the need for scientific diplomacy during the period of sanctions and the movement of research institutes and universities towards international activities, and also announced the readiness of Bimah Research Institute for bilateral cooperation with Shahid Beheshti University in this field.
In the continuation of this meeting, the members of the Takaful Working Group of the Insurance Research Institute and the deputy and senior managers of this group, while explaining the main actions and activities of their units, presented their opinions and suggestions regarding the areas of joint cooperation and benefiting more from the capacities of the two groups.
Then Behrouz Dori, the head of Shahid Beheshti University’s Faculty of Management and Accounting, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the memorandum with the Insurance Research Institute and said: the cooperation between the two institutions of the university and the research institute, whose professional and specialized nature is the same in the field of management issues, will be very effective.
Referring to the more than 40 years history of Shahid Beheshti University’s management and accounting faculty, he explained the structure of this complex and noted that this faculty has 5 educational departments, including financial and insurance management, industrial management and information technology department, public administration department, There is a business management group and an accounting group, in which all levels of education are offered. He considered the significant number of graduates and students of this faculty to be an important source for cooperation between professional fields and the faculty, he added; The specialized management services clinic, which was launched two years ago, is one of the approaches of the university to communicate with the industry and society and make the faculty’s activities problem-oriented.
The management clinic of this university also has an innovation center affiliated with the science and technology park, and all these cases show the capacities that can be used in areas whose main issue is to respond to specialized needs.
He considered the approach of the faculty and clinic of specialized management services to enter into various fields of supply and demand of specialized activities and considered the most important of these fields to be the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Insurance Research Institute.
The head of the Faculty of Management and Accounting of Shahid Beheshti University, referring to the various issues covered in the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions, expressed hope that the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum would lead to operational activities and cooperation agreements between the two institutions.
Dori listed one of the biggest challenges in the country as the non-optimal use of the existing capacities and expressed hope that if the capacities of the two institutions are combined, we will witness valuable events that will produce significant results both in the field of insurance and in the university.
