Construction and delivery of the third giant Iranian oil tanker in the next 2.5 years

Asadollah Abuisani, the CEO of Sadra Company, in an interview with the economic reporter of Fars News Agency, referring to the company’s latest actions in the construction of giant Aframax oil tankers, said: Sadra Group operates in the offshore field, which has divided its activities into two sectors for a long time. We have taken important measures in the field of design, construction and repair of all types of vessels and good infrastructure has been created and there are two factories in Bushehr and Mazandaran province belonging to Sadra company.
He added: Sadra company is also active in offshore projects. Currently, there is a large capacity in the Bushehr factory to carry out all kinds of projects, which include the design, construction, loading, transportation and installation of all kinds of marine structures and their repairs, to piping projects and pipeline repairs.
* Only 25% of Sadra company’s capacity is active
Referring to the flagship projects of Mozum Sadra, Abuisani said: One of them is the many projects we completed in the South Pars gas field, for example, in the phase 13 project, we built and installed 4 platforms, in phases 22-24 and 17 And we played a role in the construction of 18 platforms, and a total of 10 South Pars platforms were built by Sadra Company.
CEO of Iran Marine Industrial Company emphasized: We built and installed 2 out of 4 platforms of the Rashadat oil field project, and two more platforms are being built in the factory. We are also building the jacket for the Bilal field project with Petropars and we are also building the jacket for the Phase 11 project.
He explained: Only about 25% of Sadra’s capacity is being used, there is an expectation from the Ministry of Oil to fully use this internal capacity and capability.

Abuisani continued: Sadra has a contract with Venezuela for the construction of 4 giant Aframax oil tankers of 750,000 barrels, two of which have already been built and delivered, and are moving in international waters. The ability to build Aframax oil tankers has been established inside the country.
CEO of Sadra Company said: Some people claim that Iranian-made oil tankers are of poor quality, while these oil tankers have passed the test and we have the client’s satisfaction, the technology to design and manufacture these oil tankers exists inside the country. Currently, in addition to Venezuela, other countries have also entered into interaction with Sadra Company to build oil tankers.
He emphasized: During the construction of the second tanker, due to the political developments in Venezuela, there were problems with payment, which delayed the project, but now the construction of the third Aframax tanker is underway. The designs have been updated in this plane and its construction will be completed and delivered in the next 2.5 years.
