Consultations from Oman to Oman / warning against the continuation of the hypocrisy of the West and America


According to the correspondent of Fars News Agency’s foreign policy group, Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited Jordan and Oman in the last two weeks. The first trip to take part in the Baghdad 2 meeting to Amman, the capital of Jordan, and the second trip to Muscat to meet and talk with high-ranking Omani officials. These trips were carried out while the head of the diplomatic service of the Islamic Republic of Iran proposed holding a joint meeting of foreign and defense ministers of the Persian Gulf and other neighboring countries in the third session of the Tehran Dialogue Forum. The head of the diplomatic service went to the capital of Jordan to participate in the Baghdad meeting in Amman on Monday evening, December 28. This was Amir Abdullahian’s first trip to Jordan after assuming this position. Before noon on Monday, in a group of journalists on the sidelines of the third Tehran dialogue forum, he called the main focus of the Amman meeting to help strengthen the political process in Iraq and said: We believe that the second Iraqi meeting can be a step forward in overcoming challenges.

Amir Abdollahian also announced the presence of “Joseph Burrell” in charge of the European Union’s foreign policy and his deputy “Enrique Mora” in Aman and added: “The calls and conversations of my colleague Mr. Bagheri with Mora and the contacts between me and Burrell are going on seriously.” Jordan is a good opportunity to complete the talks. I hope that considering the approach of the Americans in the last three months, we will see a change of approach and the American side will behave realistically. * Consultation with Burrell in Amman

* Meeting with the King of Jordan and handing over the written message of Ayatollah Raisi

On the sidelines of this meeting, he met and talked with some officials, including the King of Jordan and the Foreign Minister of Oman. The Minister of Foreign Affairs submitted Ayatollah Raisi’s written message to the King of Jordan, and Abdullah II called for the beginning of a new chapter of bilateral relations and regional cooperation between the two countries.

* Conversation with the Saudi counterpart

The head of the diplomatic service also announced in a tweet about his meeting and conversation with “Faisal Be Farhan”, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Baghdad 2 meeting in Jordan, and wrote: “The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia expressed confidence in the country’s readiness to continue negotiations with Iran.”

Before this meeting, Amir Abdollahian had also mentioned about the talks with Saudi Arabia in Tehran and on the sidelines of the third meeting of the Tehran Dialogue Forum, stating that we have always welcomed dialogue and cooperation with the countries of the region, including the Persian Gulf region, and noted: Our talks It will continue on its previous path with Saudi Arabia. During his visit to Jordan, the Head of Diplomacy met with “Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Nu’mani”, Minister of the Sultanate School of Oman.

After that, he met with his Omani counterpart “Badr Albusaidi” and had a conversation. In this meeting, Oman’s Foreign Minister Albusaidi called the existence of political will to expand relations, including in the field of economic cooperation, especially transportation and transit, an important basis for deepening relations between the two countries, and his country’s determination and readiness to cooperate in various fields from He announced the fight against drug trafficking and other organized crimes.

Regarding some regional issues and the emphasis on peace, stability and security and progress in the region, we discussed some issues in a conversation with the Sultan of Oman and my counterpart.

Amir Abdollahian added: Last week, my colleague Mr. Bagheri had a conversation with Mora in Jordan, and I also had a conversation with Mr. Burrell on the sidelines of the Baghdad 2 meeting, and we had agreements and exchanged views. The European Union continues its efforts as a coordinator. In this issue, Oman has been the main mediator to reach an agreement in 2015 and has made serious efforts in the past months and these efforts are still ongoing. We emphasized that we did not negotiate for the sake of negotiation and it took months of negotiations to reach our desired result. The window to reach an agreement from Iran will not always be open. This window is open today, and if the other parties, especially America, do not stop hypocrisy and do not deal realistically, it is not clear that the window that is open today will remain open tomorrow.

He stated: We hope that the western parties will distance themselves from hypocritical behavior and that the negotiations that have lasted for months will be able to reach a result that will benefit all parties. But our hands are not tied, and if the Westerners want to continue their hypocritical and interventionist behavior, we will move in the direction of another plan.

The head of the diplomatic service pointed out: We thanked the Sultan of Oman for his efforts and for the initiatives that he is considering so that these talks reach the desired result. We negotiated for the result from the beginning and we welcome any initiative that the Sultan of Oman has and wants to pursue to reach a good, strong and stable result and agreement.
