Conversation with the actor of the series “Fire and Bad”/ I am not satisfied with the final output of the series

According to the reporter of Fars News Agency Radio and Television, the TV series “Fire and Bad” directed by Mojtaba Ra’i and produced by Hassan Najarian, was a night series of the 3-Sima channel during the month of Ramadan and Nowruz this year, which continued to be broadcast even after the end of the holy month of Ramadan. . Cinema, theater and television actor Javad Qamati plays the role of “Payadar Khan” in this TV series. Qatami, who in recent years has become familiar to cinema people through his appearance in the movies “Skin” directed by the Ark brothers, “Dar Aughs Them” directed by Babak Khaje Pasha and “Private Meeting” directed by Omid Shams, plays a role in the TV series Atash and Bad. Plays Payadar Khan.

In the summary of the TV series “Fire and Wind” it is stated: “Fire and Wind” is a story in the heart of history that love ignites the fire of anger. This series continues with a great war and at the same time pays attention to the historical ups and downs of Iran in the constitutional era.

In this series, in general, stereotypes familiar to the audience are well used to portray the main characters, and the characters added to the story also correspond to the time of the story. Fethullah Khan, the usual and stereotyped cruel khan, seems to be cruel, but as the story progresses, we discover his inner layers and get to know more about his cunning and clever aspects. “Payedar Khan” played by Javad Qamati and “Namdar Khan” played by Mehran Nael, the two eldest children of Fethullah Khan, play an important role in advancing the story of the film, especially in dealing with the constitutional movement.

The character of “Paidar Khan” played by Javad Qamati, due to the gray streaks in his role, is an anti-hero who stands against the hero until the middle of the film’s story and was able to accompany the audience with the story of “Fire and Wind”.

On the pretext of his role in the “Fire and Wind” series, we talked about how he joined this television project, the historical space-time of the series and the ups and downs of his role, which you will read below.

* How did your presence in the series “Fire and Wind” and playing the role of Paydar Khan come about?

Stature: In the third quarter of 1997, I was acting in the movie “Skin”. It was in the pre-production stage and Mr. Najarian was present in that project as a substitute for production, and I met him there. In 1998, when they took over the production of the Serebron celebration series, which was later changed to Atash and Bad, they called me after a while and the issue of appearing in this series was raised and they introduced me to Mr. Rai. Mr. Raei had seen my performance in “Skin”; After the initial talks and make-up test, I got the role of “Payadar Khan”.

*The role you play has gray streaks in it and stands opposite the heroes of the story. Tell us about the experience of creating this role and its details.

Stature: At first, I thought we would work together for seven to eight months. Mr. Rai explained the character of “Paidar Khan” and “Namdar Khan” to me. In the meantime, we got involved in the Corona issue and it took about 3 years to produce this work. Being in a project has both advantages and disadvantages. The positive point is that one’s thoughts and imagination are involved in a good and noble work for 3 years, and the bad thing is that I lost several film works in these 3 years. But because I worked with a good group, I am finally satisfied with being in this series, especially since the production time, when I had good memories with colleagues and various agents. “Payedar Khan” and “Namdar Khan” are the two sons of “Fathullah Khan”. Padayar Khan studies at Dar al-Funun in Tehran, but due to some events, he returns to the region with his brother. In the future, they get involved in adventures that bind them in the region and create new adventures. “Paidar Khan” is one of the main foundations of the “Fire and Wind” story and I think he has a strong presence in twenty episodes of the series. He is a young man who has dreams in his head and after returning to his hometown, he faces challenges in relation to some of the characters in the story.

What temperament is evident in the character of “Payadar Khan”. Do you consider this role a gray character?

Stature: Man is a complex creature with many good and bad points. According to the reasoning that the great God has placed in human being, man should train his personality

“Paidar Khan” is one of the main foundations of the “Fire and Wind” story and I think he has a strong presence in twenty episodes of the series. He is a young man who has dreams in his head and after returning to his hometown, he faces challenges in relation to some of the characters in the story.

It gives or hides or restrains some things. Padayar Khan was also in my being and the more I read this role, I tried to shape it more in my being and lead to speaking and acting. Because it is far from my personality, it impressed me and I allowed it to be present. Sometimes it’s hard to be someone else. Like other roles, the character of “Payadar Khan” is placed in various situations that may not be accepted by the general public.

* The space of the series takes place in a space of historical time and has a winding story. How did the spirit and basics of human communication of that historical moment come to mind for you?

Stature: Since I have previously conducted studies related to parts of history, events and social events, I have also conducted research in the library and in the field. On the other hand, the more we got to know other colleagues in different parts of the project and the conversations we had with the director group, it led us to a moment in history that we lived in.

Colleagues believed that when makeup was done, I became a different person and lived in a different space. Of course, I think that from the very beginning, when I got involved in cinema and theater, I was interested in living in different times and instead of other people, and allowing aspects of my personality to live. In fact, playing the role of “Payadar Khan” and the historical project “Fire and Wind” made this possible for me.

* What do you think are the main reasons for the audience’s tendency towards historical works, especially dealing with parts of the history of the past centuries?

Stature: Audiences like to revisit their identity roots. One of the reasons for the attraction of most historical works with different topics is this case. This return to the past and dusting of social history is always attractive to people; “Fire and Wind” is no exception to this rule. Especially that part of the story of this series takes place in the heart of real historical events.

Thank God, attending this collection was a good experience for me; Although we were involved in the corona virus almost from the beginning of the production and the variety of locations and the desertness of the space made it difficult, but with the empathy of the actors, we overcame these problems. Mr. Najarian is a very noble and sweet person, and Mr. Rai’s record as one of the pioneers of filmmaking is quite clear. Before this, I did not have the experience of acting with the actors of this series. The cast of “Fire and Wind” acted really professionally and I was fortunate to be able to act with dear ones like Mr. Farrokh Nemati, Mehran Nael and Dariush Kardan; Especially Mehran Nael who was a good and dominant actor and we had good times together while playing in this series.

*Despite playing several roles in Azeri language, including your presence in the movies “Skin” and “Embrace the Tree”, how do you evaluate the experience of being in a series with the characteristics of Persian-speaking people?

Stature: I have many years of experience in theater and have been selected in several national and regional festivals. In many of these shows and a few visual works, I had no accent at all. One of the most important abilities of any actor is to be able to hide his accent when needed. I also tried to make this happen in this series, which of course was not difficult for me considering my previous experiences.

*What are the conditions of being in a collection with scenes based on the nomadic ecosystem of the central regions of the country?

Stature: The form of the work also has coordinates that the audience realizes that the director, writer, actors, stage designer, costume designer and other factors have time for a high-quality work.

Basically, works that go to the heart of deserts and villages instead of being enclosed in the walls of apartments and dealing with city life are popular.

have left The story is full of characters and lots of suspense. Its short stories are attractive to the audience, and in these few episodes, the quality of the actors has been clearly defined. In addition, one should not neglect the magnificent music of Mr. Saadatmand. Basically, works that go to the heart of deserts and villages instead of being enclosed in the walls of apartments and dealing with city life are popular.

Are you satisfied with the final output on the antenna? In the end, if you have any remaining points, please let me know.

Stature: I have to say this I am not so satisfied with the final output of the series. The children put in a lot of effort and what you see now is not a complete report of that effort. The reason for this is related to post-production issues, which happened very late. It seems that the necessary credits have been allocated too late, and as a result, editing and sounding work has happened too late, and the music work has not been completed yet.

Even though it has been more than a year since production, the work was oppressed as a result. Both in terms of broadcasting and post-production work such as editing, which is sometimes not well formed and changes are made in a hasty manner. In short, these make the broadcasted content in some cases not even defensible. In other cases, we see that sometimes it is not broadcast, or it is during the hours when people are still outside, or other topics such as sports matches are broadcasted on Channel 3. All these together cause the audience to be challenged and confused. In the end, it is necessary to point out that these issues in the broadcast and post-production process are not worthy of such a great work that was produced at a great cost.

The TV series “Fire and Wind” produced by Hassan Najarian and directed by Mojtaba Rai is one of the products of Simafilm Center, which has been aired in 58 episodes as a Nowruz and Ramadan series on the 3 TV channel. Hossein Mahjoub, Mahmoud Paknit, Laleh Eskandari, Nader Fallah, Farrokh Nemati, Soheila Razavi, Qasim Zare, Dariush Kardan, Mirtaher Mazloumi, Ramin Nasernasir, Mehdi Faqih, Karim Akbari Mubarakeh, Sadruddin Hejazi, Buyuk Mirzaei, Mehran Nael from the actors of “Ash and are “wind”.
