According to Tejarat News, Mehrdad Bazarpash left Tehran for a one-day trip to Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan at the invitation of Genel Sanusian, Minister of Regional Management and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.

In this one-day trip, Bazarpash will participate in the signing ceremony of the contract for the construction of the Agarak-Kajaran road as part of the North-South Corridor and the Persian Gulf Corridor to the Black Sea and the negotiation regarding the expansion of transportation cooperation.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development, together with the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be present in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, for the development of bilateral economic and transport relations and to meet with high-ranking officials of this country.

During this trip, the topics of cooperation between the two countries regarding the issuance of licenses for Iranian airlines, the removal of road tolls, the promotion of cooperation within the framework of the North-South Corridor and the Persian Gulf-Black Sea Corridor, and the expansion of rail transportation and the use of Iran’s logistics and port capacities, were discussed. There will be an exchange of views.

During this trip, he will also meet and talk with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Regional Management and Infrastructure, and Vahan Karobyan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

In the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, the contract for the construction of Vardani Dezor road to the exit of the tunnel (about 11 km) and the reconstruction of Agarak-Vardani Dezor road (about 21 km) will be signed by the Armenian side with 2 Iranian road construction contractors. became.
