Core i7 12650HX processor seen – the first Alder Lake S for laptops?

Core i7 12650HX processor in UserBenchmark It was observed to get closer to the supply of Alder Lake S / HX chips for notebooks.
As we said, the list is registered on the mentioned site, which shows an unpublished chip from Intel. Although the blue team has already introduced the Core i7 12650H, this model is based on Alder Lake P silicon. It was recently reported that the company is releasing new models for laptops that use 16-core silicon desktops, albeit under the BGA package. This silicon comes with 8 powerful cores and 8 low-power cores, which is an improvement over the current Alder Lake P chip with an 8 + 6 configuration.

New data shows that the Core i7 12650HX has a different configuration than the Core i7 12650H to expand the mobile line-up category and, of course, confuse users even more. This chip has the same number of cores as the Core i7 12700H (14 cores of 20 strands). That means six powerful cores and eight low-power cores have been retained, and we’re actually seeing a reduced version of the Alder Lake S silicon.

A possible Alder Lake HX series was previously revealed in an Intel slide known as the H55 series, which offers a base temperature of 45 to 55 watts. Of course, this slide did not mention the 8 + 6 core models.

We can now imagine that at least two HX models will be available. The first with 8 + 8 full silicon, which will probably be called Core i9 12900HX / 12980HX, and the second with Core i7 12650HX processor.
